On November 5, 2024, an election was held to elect all 8 members to the Massachusetts Governor's Council. The election coincided with 2022 Massachusetts elections, elections for other offices, including Electors of President and Vice President, U.S. Senator, 2022 United States House of Representatives elections, U.S. House of Representatives, State Senators, State Representatives, Register of Deeds, Clerk of Courts, and County Commissioners (only certain counties). The previous 2022 Massachusetts Governor's Council election, election saw Democrats maintain all 8 seats on the council. Councilor Robert Jubinville stepped down after being confirmed in December 2022 to serve as clerk magistrate for the Framingham District Court, and the district 2 seat remained vacant throughout the 2023–24 session. Denise Garlick
Denise C. Garlick (née Collatos) is an American state legislator who represented the 13th Norfolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Garlick was graduated from Dedham High School in 1972. Garlick attended the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Fitchburg State College BSN. She is a Needham resident and a member of the Democratic Party. In 2017, she was honored as the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council's Legislator of the Year. She is also a registered nurse. William Brownsberger
William N. Brownsberger (born March 21, 1957) is an American politician and the President pro tempore of the Massachusetts Senate representing the Suffolk and Middlesex District which includes his hometown of Belmont, as well as Watertown, the Boston neighborhoods Allston and Brighton, part of Boston's Fenway-Kenmore area, and part of Cambridge. From 2007 to 2012, he was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He was a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2013 special election to succeed Ed Markey in the U.S. House of Representatives. Diana DiZoglio
Diana DiZoglio (born June 5, 1983) is an American politician who is the current Massachusetts State Auditor. A member of the Democratic Party, DiZoglio had previously represented the 1st Essex District in the Massachusetts Senate from 2019 to 2023. The district included her home city of Methuen as well as Newburyport, Haverhill, Merrimac, Amesbury, Salisbury, and four of eight precincts in North Andover. Seth Wilbur Moulton (born October 24, 1978) is an American politician and former Marine Corps officer who has been the U.S. representative for Massachusetts's 6th congressional district since 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, his district includes many of Boston's northern suburbs, such as Andover, Marblehead, Peabody, and his hometown of Salem. Marilyn Petitto Devaney is an American politician, who formerly served as a member of the Massachusetts Governor's Council. She was the oldest member of the council during her incumbency. Devaney is a former member of the Watertown, Massachusetts City Council.
