2024 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II
The 2024 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II comprises two international ice hockey tournaments of the 2023 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Group A tournament will be played in Canillo, Andorra, from 7 to 13 April and Group B in Istanbul, Turkey, from 1 to 7 April 2024. 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II
The 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II comprised two international ice hockey tournaments of the 2023 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The Group A tournament was played in Mexico City, Mexico from 2 to 7 April, and the Group B tournament in Cape Town, South Africa, from 20 to 26 February 2023. Latvia won Group A and got promoted and North Korea got relegated after withdrawing. Belgium won the Group B tournament and got promoted, while Croatia got relegated. IIHF Women's World Championship Division II
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL).
