2024 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League
The 2024 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League was the sixth edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League, an annual women's international volleyball tournament. The competition was held from 14 May to 23 June 2024 and the final round took place at Indoor Stadium Huamark, Bangkok, Thailand. Following the results of the 2023 Nations League and the 2023 Challenger Cup, Croatia were replaced by debutants France in this edition. Italy claimed their second VNL title after defeating Japan in a four-set final. Japan took the silver medal, which is their best result in this tournament. Poland retained the bronze medal after defeating Brazil in a five-set 3rd place match. Paola Egonu of Italy named as the MVP of the tournament. Qualification Sixteen teams qualified for the competition. Eleven of them qualified as core teams which cannot face relegation. Ana Carolina Da Silva
Ana Carolina da Silva (; born 8 April 1991) is a Brazilian indoor volleyball player. She plays as a Middle blocker and has been a member of the Brazil women's national volleyball team since 2014. Career Da Silva won the silver medal and the Best Middle Blocker award at the 2013 Club World Championship playing with Unilever Vôlei. Da Silva played with her national team, winning the bronze at the 2014 World Championship when her team defeated Italy 3–2 in the bronze medal match. During the 2015 FIVB Club World Championship, Da Silva played with the Brazilian club Rexona Ades Rio and her team lost the bronze medal match to the Swiss Voléro Zürich, Nonetheless, she won the tournament's Best Blocker award along with the Croatian Maja Poljak. Adenízia Aparecida Ferreira da Silva (; born December 18, 1986) is a Brazilian volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Pallavolo Scandicci. Career She started playing at 11 with the Clube Filadélfia. At the age of 13, she joined her current club Osasco. She won the bronze medal and the "Best Blocker" at the 2005 Pan-American Cup, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She took the "Best Server" award and the gold medal with her team at the 2009 Final Four Cup held in Lima, Peru. Caroline de Oliveira Saad Gattaz, better known as Carol Gattaz (; born July 27, 1981), is a Brazilian volleyball player. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the Women's tournament, winning a silver medal. Gattaz won the World Grand Prix three times in a row. Early life Gattaz was born in São José do Rio Preto. Natália Zilio Pereira (born 4 April 1989) is a Brazilian professional volleyball player who won the gold medal with the Brazilian national volleyball team in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
