John Francis Spellar
John Francis Spellar, Baron Spellar, (born 5 August 1947), is a British politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Warley, formerly Warley West, from 1992 to 2024. A member of the Labour Party, he previously represented Birmingham Northfield from 1982 to 1983. He served as a minister in various departments between 1997 and 2005, and as Comptroller of the Household in the Whips' Office between 2008 and 2010. Crown Honours Lists are lists of honours conferred upon citizens of the Commonwealth realms. The awards are presented by or in the name of the reigning monarch, currently King Charles III, or his vice-regal representative. New Year Honours Honours have been awarded at New Year since at least 1890, in which year a list of Queen Victoria's awards was published in '' The London Gazette'' on 2 January. Hilary Dawn Cass, Baroness Cass, (born 19 February 1958), is a British paediatrician. She was the chair of the British Academy of Childhood Disability, established the Rett Clinic for children with Rett syndrome, and has worked to develop palliative care for children. Minette Bridget Batters, Baroness Batters, (; born 28 May 1967), is a British farmer who was the president of the National Farmers' Union of England and Wales from 2018 to 2024.
