2024 Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship
The 2024 Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship was the fifth staging of the Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship and the 115th staging overall of a championship for lower-ranking intermediate hurling teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 14 December 2023. The championship ran from 3 August to 10 November 2024. The final, a replay, was played on 10 November 2024 at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Lisgoold and Erin's Own, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Lisgoold won the match by 2-18 to 2-13 to claim their first ever championship title. Alan Bowen was the championship's top scorer with 1-51. Aghabullogue GAA
Aghabullogue GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Cork, Ireland. They are affiliated to the Cork GAA, Cork County Board and play in the mid-Cork (Muskerry GAA, Muskerry) division of Cork GAA. Aghabullogue cater for both hurling and Gaelic football. History Aghabullogue have a long tradition of hurling. In 1890, they won the Cork Senior Hurling Championship. By the rules of the GAA at that time, this victory allowed Aghabullogue to go on and represent Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.This was captained by Dan Lane. They later collected a Munster title following a victory over Kerry GAA, Kerry. There was controversy in the subsequent All-Ireland final when an Aghabullogue men left the field after one of the players had his toe broken by a Wexford GAA, Wexford man's hurley. Castlemartyr GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Castlemartyr, Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. It is a member of the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. Killavullen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Killavullen, Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in competitions organized by the Cork GAA county board and the Avondhu GAA divisional board. The club fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. History Killavullen GAA club is one of the oldest official clubs in North Cork, having been founded on 15 February 1888 under the auspices of the then newly formed Gaelic Athletic Association.
