The 2024 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race was a road bicycle racing, road cycling race that was held on 28 January in Geelong, Australia. It was the eighth edition of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and the second event of the 2024 UCI World Tour. 2024 UCI World Tour
The 2024 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-five road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2024 in men's road cycling, 2024 cycling season. The tour started with the 2024 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 16 January, and concluded with the 2024 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 20 October. Events Teams The eighteen UCI WorldTeam, WorldTeams were automatically invited to compete in events, with the top two UCI ProTeams listed on the 2023 UCI World Ranking ( and ) also invited automatically. Laurence Pithie (born 17 July 2002) is a New Zealand professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Pithie attended Christchurch Boys' High School from 2016 to 2020. Career As a 17-year-old Pithie won two gold medals at the UCI Junior World Championships in the Madison and Omnium. In 2019 Pithie won the national criterium champs allowing him to wear the national jersey in all criteriums for that year.
