2024–25 East Carolina Pirates Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 East Carolina Pirates men's basketball team represented East Carolina University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pirates, led by third year head coach Michael Schwartz, played their home games at Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum as tenth-year members of the American Athletic Conference. Previous season The Pirates finished the 2023–24 season 15–18, 7–11 in AAC play to finish in tie for eighth place. As a No. 8 seed in the AAC tournament they defeated Tulsa in the second round before falling to South Florida in the quarterfinals. Michael Schwartz (basketball, Born 1976)
Michael Schwartz (born September 25, 1976) is an American basketball coach and head coach of the East Carolina Pirates men's basketball team. Playing career Schwartz played high school basketball at Beverly Hills High School, and his first two seasons of college basketball at Division II Sonoma State. He would then transfer to Texas to play for Rick Barnes during the 1998–99 season, appearing in one game of the Longhorns' Big 12 regular-season title winning team. Coaching career After graduation, Schwartz remained with the Longhorns as a graduate assistant, before making a one-year stop at Long Beach State as a video coach. He'd return to Texas in the same capacity before landing his first full-time assistant coaching position at UTSA. Schwartz would then move on to Miami in an administrative role under Frank Haith before being elevated to assistant coach. The Jacksonville State Gamecocks men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. JSU is a member of Conference USA. The Gamecocks are coached by Ray Harper (basketball), Ray Harper. During their time as a member of NCAA Division II, Division II, they were 1985 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament, national champions in 1985. The Mount Olive Trojans are the athletic teams that represent the University of Mount Olive, located in Mount Olive, North Carolina, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sporting competitions. UMO's sports teams are known as the Trojans; their colors are green and white. The Rhode Island Rams men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team was recently under the direction of head coach Archie Miller. The Rams play their home games at the Ryan Center (capacity 7,657) which opened in 2002. The Rams experienced their greatest success by making the Elite Eight in 1998, pulling within 3 points of making their first Final Four in just their 7th appearance before ultimately losing to Stanford. Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team is the college basketball team of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The University of Miami men's basketball team was formed in 1926, but the program was later dropped by the university in 1971.
