2024–25 Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners Women's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners women's basketball team represented California State University, Bakersfield during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Roadrunners, led by first-year head coach Ari Wideman, played their home games at the Icardo Center in Bakersfield, California as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 2–28, 2–18 in Big West play, to finish in a tie for tenth place. Previous season The Roadrunners finished the 2023–24 season 8–21, 5–15 in Big West play, to finish in tenth place. Since only the top eight teams in the conference participate, the Roadrunners failed to qualify for the Big West tournament. On March 12, 2024, the school announced that they would not be retaining head coach Greg McCall, ending his 13-year tenure with the Roadrunners. Ari Wideman is an American basketball coach and former player who is the current head coach of the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners women's basketball team. The Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym. History The Catamounts went undefeated in the regular season in back-to-back seasons in the 1991–92 and 1992–93 seasons, the first time a women's basketball program did that in the NCAA era. Sylmar is a suburban neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley and the northernmost neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. The Grand Canyon Antelopes women's basketball team represents Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. They are a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). History GCU began play in 1988, beginning as an NAIA team in District VII. They began play in NCAA Division II in 1991. They joined the Pacific West Conference in 1992 after two years in the Continental Divide Conference.
