2023–24 Xavier Musketeers Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season as a member of the Big East Conference. Led by Sean Miller in the second season of his second stint after coaching the Musketeers from 2004 to 2009, they played their home games at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Previous season The 2022–23 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team, Musketeers finished the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2022–23 season 23–8, 15–5 in Big East play, to finish in second place. Sean Miller
Sean Edward Miller (born November 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as head coach at the Texas Longhorns men's basketball, University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as head coach at the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, University of Arizona from 2009 to 2021 and Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier University from 2004 to 2009 and then again from 2022 to 2025. Miller is a three-time gold medalist as a member of United States men's national basketball team, USA Basketball: once as a player, once as an assistant coach, and once as head coach. Miller has won five league Coach of the Year Awards: once in the Atlantic 10 Conference, A10, three in the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-12, and once as USA Basketball Coach of the Year. Souley Boum
Souleymane Boum (born January 26, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the San Francisco Dons, UTEP Miners and Xavier Musketeers. High school and college career Boum starred at Oakland Technical High School, where he was twice named Oakland Athletic League player of the year. His success in high school and on the AAU circuit led to a scholarship offer from the nearby University of San Francisco, where he quickly earned a starting spot and was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team. Following the season, he transferred to UTEP. In three seasons at UTEP, Boum proved an effective scorer, averaging 16.9 points per game. Boum then transferred to Xavier for the extra season of eligibility granted by the NCAA for players whose careers were affected by COVID-19. The Morehead State Eagles are an NCAA Division I men's basketball team that represents Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, United States. Adam Terrence Kunkel (born December 9, 1999) is an American basketball player for Zunder Palencia of the Primera FEB. He played college basketball for the Belmont Bruins and the Xavier Musketeers. High school career Kunkel attended Randall K. Cooper High School. As a junior, he helped his team reach the Sweet 16 title game, scoring 13 points in the loss against Bowling Green High School. Kunkel averaged 16.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, shooting 41 percent from three-point range. The Missouri State Bears basketball team is the NCAA Division I men's basketball program of Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. The Bears compete in the Missouri Valley Conference.
