2023–24 Washington Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies, led by seventh-year head coach Mike Hopkins, played their home games at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, Washington as their last season as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 17–15, 9–11 in Pac-12 play to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. As the No. 8 seed in the Pac-12 tournament, they lost to USC in the first round. On March 8, 2024, the school announced that head coach Mike Hopkins would be fired after the season. On March 25, the school named Utah State head coach Danny Sprinkle the team's new head coach. Mike Hopkins (basketball)
Michael Griffith Hopkins (born August 6, 1969) is an American basketball assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, he was a longtime assistant at Syracuse University before taking over as a college basketball head coach for University of Washington from 2017 until 2024. The 6-foot-5 Hopkins, from Laguna Hills, California, was a fan favorite during his playing days at Syracuse, known for his all-out hustle and general scrappy play. The 2023 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Pac-12 Conference held March 8–11, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team, colloquially known as the Hogs, represents the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. Jackson Paul Grant (born October 16, 2002) is an American college basketball player. He formerly played for the Washington Huskies of the Pac-12 Conference and the Utah State Aggies of the Mountain West Conference.
