2023–24 UT Martin Skyhawks Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 UT Martin Skyhawks women's basketball team represented the University of Tennessee at Martin during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Skyhawks, led by 15th-year head coach Kevin McMillan, played their home games at Skyhawk Arena located in Martin, Tennessee as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. Previous season The Skyhawks finished the 2022–23 season 13–7, 9–9 in OVC play to finish in fifth place. They were upset by Morehead State in the first round of the OVC tournament. Centerville High School (Ohio)
Centerville High School is a public school of secondary education for grades 9–12 located in Centerville, Ohio, USA, situated south of Dayton. It is the only high school in the Centerville City School District, which also includes three middle schools, six elementary schools and two K–1 schools, or "primary villages". The district serves all of the city of Centerville and Washington Township, as well as a portion of the city of Kettering. History Washington Township first began offering formal education in 1803 with a school building for grades 1–6. Nine one-room elementary schools were also erected. In 1848, the Old Stone Academy was constructed and the first high school courses were offered. Private schools over the blacksmith shop and in Old Township Hall offered similar courses. Centerville is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. A core suburb of Metro Dayton, its population was 24,240 as of the 2020 census. History Following the signing of the Treaty of Greenville, which opened the Northwest Territory to settlement, Centerville was first surveyed in February 1796 by Aaron Nutt, Benjamin Archer, and Benjamin Robbins, three brothers-in-law who traveled from New Jersey through Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Their survey of land owned by John Cleves Symmes occurred two months prior to the establishment of Dayton. They each claimed land near the intersection of Main and Franklin Streets. Robbins and two of his brothers chose land in Centerville, with Robbins selecting 160 acres northwest of the town center due to the abundance of springs.
