2023–24 Syracuse Orange Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Syracuse Orange women's basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Orange were led by second-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. The Orange were tenth year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference and played their home games at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. The Orange started the season with three straight wins before losing to number 20 Maryland. That would be their final loss of the non-conference regular season as they won the South Point Shootout and defeated Alabama in their ACC–SEC Challenge game. Felisha Legette-Jack
Felisha Legette-Jack (born September 4, 1966) is the current head coach of the Syracuse University's women basketball team. She previously served as the head coach at the University at Buffalo, Indiana University, and Hofstra University's women basketball teams. Early life and education Coming from an athletically gifted family, Legette-Jack first came to prominence at Nottingham High School (New York), Nottingham High School, in Syracuse, New York, in the mid 1980s. Her brother, Ronnie, had led the Bulldogs to a state championship earlier, but Felisha went one better, leading the Lady Bulldogs to two state titles before going on to star at Syracuse University. At Syracuse, Legette-Jack scored 1,526 points, grabbed 927 rebounds, and graduated as the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in program history. 2024 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2024 ACC women's basketball tournament was the postseason women's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, from March 6–10, 2024. The 2024 edition marked the 24th time in 25 years that the tournament was held in Greensboro. The defending champions were the Virginia Tech Hokies. Virginia Tech entered this edition as the number one seed after winning the regular season. However, they were unable to defend their title, losing in the Semifinals to Notre Dame. Notre Dame would go on to win the tournament over NC State 55–51 in the Final. 2023 Women's National Invitation Tournament
The 2023 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 NCAA Division I women's college basketball teams that were not selected for the field of the 2023 Women's NCAA Tournament. The tournament committee announced the 64-team field on March 13, following the selection of the NCAA Tournament field. The tournament started March 15 and ended on April 1 with the championship game televised by CBSSN. Kansas won the tournament for the first time in program history. This was the final WNIT to be held with a 64-team format. On July 17, 2023, WNIT operator Triple Crown Sports announced that the tournament would be reduced to 48 teams starting in 2024. The 2022–23 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wolfpack were led by tenth-year head coach Wes Moore and played their home games at Reynolds Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
