2023–24 Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles men's basketball team represented the University of Southern Indiana during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Screaming Eagles, led by fourth-year head coach Stan Gouard, played their home games at Screaming Eagles Arena in Evansville, Indiana as members of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). This season marked Southern Indiana's second year of a four-year transition period from Division II to Division I. As a result, the Screaming Eagles were not eligible for the NCAA tournament until the 2026–27 season. Previous season The Screaming Eagles finished the 2022–23 season 16–17, 9–9 in OVC play, to finish tied for sixth place. Stan Gouard
Stanley Gouard (born October 14, 1970) is an American college basketball coach, currently head coach for the University of Southern Indiana (USI). Gouard also played for USI, where he was twice named NCAA Division II National Player of the Year. College career A native of Danville, Illinois, Gouard played for Danville High School (Illinois), Danville High School, where he graduated in 1988. He tried unsuccessfully to catch on with two separate junior colleges before returning to Danville to work. After a strong showing in an amateur summer festival, he was signed by John A. Logan College and played the 1991–92 season, earning National Junior College Athletic Association, NJCAA All-American honors. While he was pursued by several NCAA Division I, Division I programs, his age limited his eligibility whereas the looser Division II standards would allow him to compete for three seasons. Downers Grove is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1832 by Pierce Downer, whose surname serves as the eponym for the village. Per the 2020 census, the population of the village was 50,248. It is a south-western suburb of Chicago located between I-88 and I-55. Milton High School (Wisconsin)
Milton High School is a public high school located in Milton, Wisconsin. Its enrollment was estimated at 1,065 students for the 2018–19 school year. Academics MHS offers Advanced Placement classes. About a third of the student body takes at least one AP class throughout their tenure at MHS. Demographics 92 percent of Milton students are white, four percent Hispanic, two percent Asian and one percent black, while one percent of students identify as two or more races. Activities MHS has three show choirs: the mixed-gender Choralation, the freshman Revolution, and the single-gender Octave Above.
