2023–24 Missouri Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Missouri Tigers men's basketball team represented the University of Missouri in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season and was led by second year head coach Dennis Gates. The team played its home games at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri as a twelfth-year member of the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers finished their regular season without a win (0–18) in SEC play, the first time the team had not won a conference game since their 1907–08 season. The team lost their opening round game in the 2024 SEC men's basketball tournament, bringing their final loss total to 0–19 in conference play. Dennis Gates
Dennis Gates (born January 14, 1980) is an American college basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Missouri Tigers men's basketball team. Playing career Gates played college basketball at California Golden Bears men's basketball, California, where he was a two-time first-team All-Academic selection in the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-10, having graduated in three years, playing his senior season as a master's degree candidate. Gates was also a member of Cal's 2002 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2002 NCAA tournament team. The 2022–23 Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team represented the University of Alabama in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Nate Oats. They played their home games at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 31–6, 16–2 in SEC play to win the regular season championship. They defeated Mississippi State, Missouri, and Texas A&M to win the SEC tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 1 seed in the South region. The NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represents North Carolina State University in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. D'Moi Hodge ( ; born December 20, 1998) is a British Virgin Islander professional basketball player who last played for Aris Thessaloniki of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He played college basketball for the State College of Florida, Cleveland State, and Missouri.
