2023–24 Minnesota Golden Gophers Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Minnesota Golden Gophers women's basketball team represented the University of Minnesota during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Golden Gophers, led by first-year head coach Dawn Plitzuweit, played their home games at Williams Arena and compete as members of the Big Ten Conference. Plitzuweit was hired in March 2023 after she spent one year at West Virginia. Previous season The Golden Gophers finished the 2022–2023 season with a 11–19 record and 4–14 in Big Ten play to finish in twelfth place. As the twelfth seed in the Big Ten tournament, they were defeated by Penn State in the First Round. They were not invited to the NCAA Tournament or chosen for the WNIT. Dawn Plitzuweit
Dawn Plitzuweit (; born October 31, 1972) is an American basketball coach, currently the head women's basketball coach at the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's basketball, University of Minnesota. Playing career Plitzuweit attended Michigan Technological University, Michigan Tech between 1990–1995, but did not play basketball during the 1991–92 season. In her freshman year she started all 29 games. Her sophomore year, 1992–93, played in all 33 games leading Michigan Tech to a record of 30–3 scoring 12.4 points a game, 2nd on the team. Her Junior year she, once again, played in all 28 games. Her senior year she played in 29 of the 30 games that year and would finish her career with a playing record of 99–22. Pepperdine Waves Women's Basketball
The Pepperdine Waves women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the West Coast Conference. The team's last appearance in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was in 2006. Their home arena is the Firestone Fieldhouse, a multi-purpose facility that hosts basketball, volleyball, and many other athletic and university events. Montesano is a city in, and the county seat of, Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 4,138 at the 2020 Census. Brooklyn Park is a suburban city on the west bank of the Mississippi River, upstream from (north of) the Twin Cities in northern Hennepin County. The Oregon State Beavers women's basketball team is the official women's basketball team of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. They are one of nine varsity women's sports at OSU. They are a member of the West Coast Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The team's home venue is Gill Coliseum and their official colors are orange and black.
