2023–24 Liga De Expansión MX Season
The 2023–24 Liga de Expansión MX season is the fourth professional season of the second-tier football division in Mexico. The season is divided into two championships—the #Torneo Apertura, Torneo Apertura and the #Torneo Clausura, Torneo Clausura—each in an identical format. The Apertura tournament began on 21 July 2023. The Clausura tournament will begin in January 2024 as a 33-team league with the addition of 18 Liga MX under-23 teams. Liga De Expansión MX
Liga de Expansión MX, also known as Liga BBVA Expansión MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. It was founded in 2020 as part of the Mexican Football Federation, FMF's "Stabilization Project", which has the primary objective of rescuing the financially troubled teams from the Ascenso MX and prevent the disappearance of a second level league in Mexico. Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes (English: Sports City Stadium) is a 34,253-seat multi-purpose stadium located in Ciudad de los Deportes, Mexico City. NBA Play-in Tournament
The NBA play-in tournament is the preliminary National Basketball Association (NBA) postseason tournament. It determines the final two playoff seeds in the Eastern Conference and Western Conference and is played immediately prior to the NBA playoffs, which is the main tournament of the postseason and regarded by the league as separate from the play-in tournament. The Tuzos de la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, commonly known as Tuzos UAZ, or just UAZ, is a Mexican football club based in Zacatecas City. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). The champions of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top level), and the bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (third level). In 2012, the league rebranded its name and competition format as Ascenso MX, the major changes (clubs do not need a FMF certification to be promoted and that the competition no longer used group stages).
