2023–24 LEN Champions League
The 2023–24 LEN Champions League is the 61st edition of LEN's premier competition for men's water polo clubs. Because of the congested schedule, there's a new format this year. Pro Recco are the three-time defending champions. Ferencvárosi TC (men's water polo), FTC-Telekom won their second title after triumphing over Pro Recco in the final. Format This season, the format has undergone some changes. After one qualification round (instead of three), sixteen teams will qualify for the group stage. Because of the congested schedule, four groups of four will be played instead of two groups of eight. The top two in each group will make the quarter-finals round (also a group stage). The team that finish third and fourth will compete in the 2023–24 LEN Euro Cup knockout stage. The remaining eight teams in the quarter-finals round will play a further six matches, with the top two in each group making the Final Four, which makes a return. LEN Champions League
The European Aquatics Champions League is the top-tier European professional water polo club competition with teams from up to 18 countries. It is organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation. The competition started in 1963 as European Cup. A change of name and format occurred in 1996, with the competition being renamed Champions League and the final four system being established as the format of choice, for the first time during the 1996–97 LEN Champions League. From 2003 to 2011 the competition was named LEN Euroleague (with the change of name being simply a re-branding) and from 2011 to 2024 was named the LEN Champions League. Israel Swimming Association
The Israel Swimming Association (Hebrew: איגוד השחיה בישראל), founded in 1995 is the governing body of swimming in Israel. It brings together all clubs in the country, organizes the Israeli Swimming Championships as well as the swimming competition of the Maccabiah Games. In December 2016 David Marsh was named the "Professional Advisor" of the Israel Swimming Association, with a goal of preparing the country's swimmers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Turkish Swimming Federation (, TYF) is the governing body of swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and open water swimming in Turkey since 1957. Royal Dutch Swimming Federation
The Royal Dutch Swimming Federation (, “KNZB”) is the official governing body for swimming, in the Netherlands. The federation overlooks several other sports including Swimming (sport), competition swimming, open water swimming, water polo, Diving (sport), diving and synchronized swimming. The federation is based in Nieuwegein and affiliated with the national sports body NOC*NSF. The responsibility of the KNZB is to organize and track various events.
