The 2023–24 LEB Oro season was the 28th season of the Spanish basketball second league. It started on 6 October 2023 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 9 June 2024 with the Final Four. Teams Promotion and relegation (pre-season) A total of 18 teams contested the league, including 13 sides from the 2022–23 season, two relegated from the Liga ACB and three promoted from the LEB Plata. Primera FEB
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the Primera FEB are relegated to Segunda FEB. The 2023–24 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 41st season of the top Spanish professional basketball league, since its establishment in 1983. It started on 23 September 2023 with the regular season and ended on 12 June 2024 with the finals. Club Deportivo Estela is a basketball team based in Torrelavega, Cantabria, Spain. History Estela was founded in 1999 in Santander. Fundación Lucentum Baloncesto Alicante, also known as HLA Alicante for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Alicante, Valencian Community. History The club was founded on 17 June 2015 with the aim to save the basketball in the city after the financial problems of the main club CB Lucentum. Fundación Lucentum made its debut in the 2015–16 LEB Plata season after receiving the spot of CB Lucentum. Club Bàsquet Prat is a basketball team based in El Prat de Llobregat, Catalonia (Spain). The team currently plays in league LEB Plata.
