2023–24 Holy Cross Crusaders Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team represented the College of the Holy Cross during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by fourth-year head coach Maureen Magarity, played their home games at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts and were members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 21–13, 11–7 in Patriot League play, to finish in first place. Previous season The Crusaders finished the 2022–23 season 24–8, 13–5 in Patriot League play, to finish in second place. As a No. 2 seed in the Patriot women's tournament they defeated American in the quarterfinals, Lehigh in the semifinals and Boston University in the championship game. Maureen Magarity
Maureen Elizabeth Magarity (born March 4, 1981) is an American women's basketball coach, whose last job was head coach of the Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team from 2020 to 2024. From 2010 to 2020, she coached New Hampshire Wildcats women's basketball, New Hampshire. Early life and education Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania raised in Wappingers Falls, New York, Magarity graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, New York, Poughkeepsie in 1999. At Our Lady of Lourdes, Magarity averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in her senior basketball season and was a USA Today All-USA high school basketball team, ''USA Today'' Honorable Mention All-American. Bill Crothers Secondary School is an athletic based high school in the community of Unionville in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It was the newest secondary school in the York Region District School Board for a number of years, since 2008. Named for the former Olympic athlete and Chair of the York Region District School Board, Bill Crothers, the school opened its doors to Grade 9 and 10 students in August 2008. Fair Haven is a borough situated in the Jersey Shore region within Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, in the New York metropolitan area. Fair Haven is located on the Rumson peninsula along the Navesink River and is bordered by Red Bank and Little Silver to the west.
