2023–24 Grand Canyon Antelopes Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Grand Canyon Antelopes men's basketball team represented Grand Canyon University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by fourth-year head coach Bryce Drew and played their games at GCU Arena in Phoenix, Arizona as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). They finished the season 30–5, 17–3 in WAC play, to win the regular-season championship. As the No. 1 seed in the WAC, they defeated Seattle in the semifinals and beat UT Arlington in the championship to win the WAC tournament. Therefore, they received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where as the No. 12 seed in the West region, they upset Saint Mary's in the first round, before losing to Alabama in the second round. Bryce Drew
Bryce Homer Drew (born September 21, 1974) is an American college basketball coach and former player who is the head coach at Grand Canyon University. Previously, he served as the head coach at Vanderbilt and in the same capacity at his alma mater, Valparaiso, having succeeded his father, Homer Drew. Drew has led his teams to the NCAA tournament on six occasions, including at least once at each of the three schools where he has been the head coach. Bryce's older brother, Scott, also coached at Valpo before becoming the head coach of the Baylor Bears. As a player, Bryce Drew was known for his buzzer-beating shot in the first round of Valparaiso's run in the 1998 NCAA tournament. Tuba City () is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Coconino County, Arizona, on the Navajo Nation, United States. It is the second-largest community in Coconino County. 2023 WAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2023 WAC men's basketball tournament is the postseason men's basketball tournament of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for the 2022–23 season. The conference tournament is scheduled to be played from March 7–11, 2023, at Michelob ULTRA Arena and the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada near Las Vegas. The first round will be played on March 7 at Michelob ULTRA Arena with the remaining rounds March 9–11 at the Orleans Arena. The 2022–23 Southern Utah Thunderbirds men's basketball team represented Southern Utah University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
