2023–24 Evansville Purple Aces Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Evansville Purple Aces women's basketball team represented the University of Evansville during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Purple Aces, led by third-year head coach Robyn Scherr-Wells, played their home games at Meeks Family Fieldhouse in Evansville, Indiana as members of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). Previous season The Purple Aces finished the 2022–23 season 11–19, 6–14 in MVC play, to finish in a tie for ninth place. They were defeated by Murray State in the opening round of the MVC tournament. The University of Evansville (UE) is a private university in Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1854 as Carnegie Hall of Moores Hill College, Moores Hill College. The university operates a satellite center, Harlaxton Manor, Harlaxton College, in Grantham, England. History Founded by members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Westminster Christian Academy opened in 1976 in rented classrooms at Missouri Baptist University, with 72 students. Oakland City University (OCU) is a private university affiliated with the General Baptist Church and located in Oakland City, Indiana. It is the only General Baptist Church-affiliated college or university in the United States. Founded in 1885, it has slowly grown to a total enrollment of about 655. King's Christian Collegiate
King's Christian Collegiate is a private high school in Oakville, Ontario. The school was founded in 2001 by a group of parents who envisioned a local Christian education. In its first year, King’s Christian Collegiate started with 64 students and has since grown to 680 students. The campus sits at the intersection of Neyagawa Blvd. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. The first wing and gym were completed in 2001. In 2006, the school underwent the second phase of construction to expand Student Services, initiate the Learning Commons, a library, several more classrooms, plus an atrium and cafeteria. Carol Stream is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States, and a suburb of Chicago. It was incorporated on January 5, 1959, and named after the daughter of its founder, Jay Stream. Per the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 39,854. History In 1853, St. John Wahlund Catholic Church was built in what was then referred to as Gretna. The church was closed in 1867. When St. Michael's was opened in Wheaton in 1872, St. Stephen's parishioners were transferred to that parish. The church building was dismantled sometime in the late 19th century. St. Stephen's Cemetery was located adjacent to the church building and was last used for burial in 1910.
