2023–24 Danish 1st Division (men's Handball)
The 2023–24 Danish 1st Division (known as the NordicBet Liga due to sponsorship by NordicBet) marked the 28th season of the league operating as the second tier of Danish football and the 84th season overall under the 1st Division name. The league is governed by the Danish Football Association (DBU). Participants Horsens and AaB finished the 2022–23 season of the Superliga in 11th and 12th place, respectively, and were relegated to the 1st Division. They replaced Vejle BK and Hvidovre IF, who were promoted to the 2023–24 Danish Superliga. Kolding IF Kolding Idræts Forening is an association football club based in Kolding, Denmark. Sønderjyske Fodbold
SønderjyskE is a Danish sport corporation. They have a football team ( SønderjyskE Fodbold, based in Haderslev), two handball teams (SønderjyskE Håndbold, one male based in Sønderborg, one female based in Aabenraa) and an ice hockey team ( SønderjyskE Ishockey, based in Vojens). All the teams play in Southern Jutland. The name is short for Sønderjysk Elitesport (English language: ''Southern Jutlandic Elite Sport''). SønderjyskE was created as a club for the whole region of South Jutland as it was obvious that it was impossible to create elite teams able to compete in the top leagues on the former basis of city teams. The men's football team used to be solely based in the city of Haderslev under the name Haderslev FK.
