2023–24 Buffalo Bulls Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team represented the University at Buffalo in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulls, led by first-year head coach George Halcovage III, played their home games at Alumni Arena in Amherst, New York as members of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 4–27, 2–16 in MAC play, to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the MAC tournament. Previous season The Bulls finished the season 15–17, 9–9 in MAC play, to finish in a tie for sixth place. As the No. 6 seed in the MAC tournament they lost to Akron in the quarterfinals. On March 11, 2023, the school fired head coach Jim Whitesell. On March 30, the school named longtime Villanova assistant coach George Halcovage the team's new head coach. George Halcovage III
George Halcovage III (born January 13, 1986) is an American college basketball coach, currently the head men's coach for the Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team. Playing career From 2004 to 2008, Halcovage played college basketball at Babson. Coaching career Halcovage joined Jay Wright at Villanova in 2008 as a graduate assistant and occupied various roles including video coordinator and director of basketball operations until 2017 when he was elevated to an assistant coach. Upon Wright's retirement in 2022, Halcovage was retained as an assistant coach under Kyle Neptune. During his time with the Wildcats, he was part of seven Big East regular-season champion squads as well as four Final Four teams, including the 2016 and 2018 national championship teams. IUPUI Jaguars Men's Basketball
The IU Indy Jaguars men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Indiana University Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. IU Indy assumed its current identity on July 1, 2024, when the Indiana University and Purdue University systems dissolved the former Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio. The Flyers play their home games at UD Arena, University of Dayton Arena. The Flyers are coached by Anthony Grant who is in his seventh season.
