2023–24 ACB Season
The 2023–24 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 41st season of the top Spanish professional basketball league, since its establishment in 1983. It started on 23 September 2023 with the regular season and ended on 12 June 2024 with the finals. Barça was the defending champion which was swept in semifinals by Real Madrid in a rematch of last year's finals, with ''Los Blancos'' winning a record-extending 37th Spanish title (15th in the ACB era) after another sweep against outstanding UCAM Murcia in the finals. Teams Promotion and relegation (pre-season) A total of 18 teams contested the league, including 16 sides from the 2022–23 season and two promoted from the 2022–23 LEB Oro. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administered by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Primera FEB and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Española de Baloncesto (1957–1983), Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. Primera FEB
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the Primera FEB are relegated to Segunda FEB. Club Ourense Baloncesto, S.A.D., more commonly referred to today by its sponsorship name of Río Ourense Termal, is a professional basketball team based in Ourense, Spain. The 2022–23 LEB Oro season was the 27th season of the Spanish basketball second league. It started on 7 October 2022 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 18 June 2023 with the Final Four. 2023 ACB Playoffs
The 2023 ACB Playoffs, also known as 2023 Liga Endesa Playoffs for sponsorship reasons, was the postseason tournament of the ACB's 2022–23 season, which began on 28 September 2022. The playoffs started on May 27 after the EuroLeague Final Four, which was played on May 19–21, and ended on June 20. Real Madrid was the defending champion, but was swept in the final series by Barça, who won their 20th title (17th in the ACB era), returning to glory since their last triumph in 2021. Bàsquet Club Andorra SAOE, also known as MoraBanc Andorra for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team that is based in Andorra la Vella, Andorra. Though based in Andorra, the club plays in the Spanish basketball league system. The team plays in the Liga ACB and the Champions League with home games played at the Poliesportiu d'Andorra.
