Kafr Dan
Kafr Dan () is a Palestinian village in the Jenin Governorate, located 8 km northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) census, the town had a population of 5,148 in 2007 and 6,591 in 2017. Ottoman era Kafr Dan, like the rest of Palestine, was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire in 1517. During the 16th and 17th centuries, it belonged to the Turabay Emirate (1517-1683), which encompassed also the Jezreel Valley, Haifa, Jenin, Beit She'an Valley, northern Jabal Nablus, Bilad al-Ruha/Ramot Menashe, and the northern part of the Sharon plain. In the census of 1596, Kafr Dan appeared as "Kafradan”, located in the ''nahiya'' of Sha'ara in the '' liwa'' of Lajjun. It had a population of 9 households, all Muslim. Palestinian Rocket Attacks On Israel
Since 2001, Palestinian militants have launched tens of thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip as part of the continuing Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Neve Yaakov
Neve Yaakov (; also ''Neve Ya'aqov'', lit. Jacob's Oasis) is an Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem, part of the Israeli-occupied territories, north of the settlement of Pisgat Ze'ev and south of the Palestinian locality of al-Ram. Established in 1924 during the period of the British Mandate, it was depopulated during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. The area was captured by Israel in the Six-Day War and a new neighborhood was built nearby, at which time international opposition to its legitimacy began. 2023 Neve Yaakov Shooting
On 27 January 2023, a Palestinians, Palestinian gunman killed at least seven civilians in the Israeli settlement of Neve Yaakov, in East Jerusalem, the Israeli occupied territories, occupied West Bank. January 2023 Jenin Incursion
On 26 January 2023, the Israel Border Police and the Israeli army conducted an armed raid on the Jenin refugee camp, which is in Area A of the Israeli-occupied West Bank and under Palestinian civil authority. According to ''The Jerusalem Post'', the objective was to prevent a planned terrorist strike and arrest three wanted Islamic Jihad militants. Nine Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during the ensuing clashes, one of whom was an elderly woman. On 29 January, another Palestinian succumbed to wounds received during the raid, bringing the total killed to ten. It was the deadliest Israeli raid on the Jenin refugee camp in nearly 20 years. Jaba', Jenin
Jaba' () is a Palestinian village in the northern West Bank, in the Jenin Governorate of the State of Palestine, located southwest of the city of Jenin. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of 8,942 in the 2007 census and 10,413 by 2017. The village is situated on the slopes of the Jabal Dabrun mountain. The village and its immediate vicinity contain a number of archaeological sites, including a tomb for a certain Neby Yarub. During the Ottoman era, Jaba' served as a throne village of the powerful Jarrar family. The village is administered by a municipal council, currently headed by Bassam Jarrar.
