Baku Crystal Hall
Baku Crystal Hall ( Azerbaijani: ''Bakı Kristal Zalı'') is an indoor arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is located on the coast of Baku near National Flag Square. Construction of the arena began in August 2011 and finished in April 2012in time for it to host its first major event, the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. History Baku Crystal Hall was built in order to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. On 2 August 2011, the main agreement was signed with Alpine Bau Deutschland AG to construct the venue and preparations for construction had been started in the area. Although the full cost of the contract was not named, the government is known to have allocated 6 million AZN for the construction of the venue. On 5 September 2011, it was announced that the venue will be able to hold 25,000 spectators. The arena also contains VIP lounges. Omar El-Yazidi
Umar ibn al-Khattab (; ), also spelled Omar, was the second Rashidun caliph, ruling from August 634 until his assassination in 644. He succeeded Abu Bakr () and is regarded as a senior companion and father-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Initially, Umar opposed Muhammad, who was his distant Qurayshite kinsman. However, after converting to Islam in 616, he became the first Muslim to openly pray at the Kaaba. Ruslan Kayratuly Zhaparov (Руслан Қайратұлы Жапаров, born 27 May 1996) is a Kazakh heavyweight taekwondo competitor. He represented Kazakhstan at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the Taekwondo at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's +80 kg, men's +80 kg. He was defeated by Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's Radik Isayev, Radik Isaev in the round of 16 and South Korea, South Korea's Cha Dong-min in the repechages. Abdoul Razak Issoufou Alfaga (born 26 December 1994), also known as Razak Alfaga, is a Nigerien taekwondo athlete. When Issoufou was 7, his father forbade him from taking taekwondo after a cousin died from an injury in a fight. After Issoufou moved to an uncle's home in Togo four years later, he eventually got back into the sport by borrowing a friend's dobok. Adam Meyers (taekwondo)
Adam Henry Meyers (July 18, 1812 – July 31, 1875) was a lawyer and political figure in Canada West. He represented North Northumberland then Northumberland in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada from 1844 to 1851. He was the son of Adam Henry Meyers, a native of Hanover, Germany, and Mary H. Wallbridge. Meyers practised law in Trenton, Ontario, Trenton and was a friend of John A. Macdonald. In August 1853, Meyers was shot and wounded by a man named Charles Marsh because, it was alleged, Meyers had seduced Marsh's sister; Marsh was sentenced to 14 years in the provincial penitentiary. Meyers was an unsuccessful candidate for the Northumberland seat in the assembly in 1861. He was named lieutenant-colonel for the local militia in 1869.
