2023 West Virginia Mountaineers Men's Soccer Team
The 2023 West Virginia Mountaineers men's soccer team represented West Virginia University during the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. They were led by head coach Dan Stratford, in his fourth season. They played their home games at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. This was the team's 63rd season playing organized men's college soccer and their second playing in the Sun Belt Conference. Previous season The 2022 West Virginia team posted a 7–7–4 (3–1–4 Sun Belt) record. They were eliminated in the semifinals of the 2022 Sun Belt Conference men's soccer tournament and did not earn an at-large berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament. Dan Stratford
Daniel James Stratford (born 29 May 1985) is an English former Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder and current head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers men's soccer team. He returned to his ''alma mater'' after three seasons as assistant coach and three seasons as head coach of the University of Charleston Charleston Golden Eagles, Golden Eagles and leading his team to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship in 2017 and 2019. During his playing career he played professionally for D.C. United, Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C., Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hereford United F.C., Hereford United. Reeves Field (American University)
Reeves Field is a football stadium located on the campus of Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It was named in honor of local banker John T. Reeves, whose heirs donated land for the complex. Constructed in 1925, Reeves Field is one of the oldest sports venues in Pennsylvania. The current seating capacity is 5,500. The stadium hosts the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes and the local high school football team, the Beaver Falls Tigers. The Bucknell Bison men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. They are an NCAA Division I team and member of the Patriot League. Through its history, Bucknell has played in the Middle Atlantic Conference (1947–73), East Coast Conference (1974–89) and Patriot League (1990-pres.). The Charleston Golden Eagles, known previously as the Morris Harvey Golden Eagles, are the athletic teams that represent the University of Charleston, located in Charleston, West Virginia, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
