2023 VFL Women's Season
The 2023 VFL Women's season was the seventh season of the VFL Women's (VFLW). The season commenced on 25 March and concluded with the grand final on 30 July. won the club's first VFLW premiership defeating in the grand final, a week after eliminating defending premiers in the preliminary final. Victoria Park is a sports venue in Abbotsford, a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. The stadium is oval shaped and was built to host Australian rules football and cricket matches. In the past Victoria Park featured a cycling track, tennis courts, and a baseball club that once played curtain raisers to football matches. Moorabbin Oval (also known as RSEA Park under a naming rights agreement) is an Australian rules football ground in the city of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at Linton Street in the suburb of Moorabbin. Trevor Barker Beach Oval
Trevor Barker Beach Oval, currently known under naming rights as the Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval, is an Australian rules football ground in Beach Road, on the border between Hampton and Sandringham, Victoria. Most commonly known as Beach Road Oval throughout its existence, in 1998 the ground was renamed after the late Trevor Barker, who died of cancer in 1996 at the age of 39. Barker had coached the Sandringham Football Club to the 1992 and 1994 premierships. In the late 1920s, the Sandringham council had been seeking to establish a senior football club in the district to join the Victorian Football Association, and providing a fenced venue to which admission could be charged was a requirement of the Association. Arden Street Oval (also known as North Melbourne Cricket Ground) is a sports oval in North Melbourne, Victoria. Mia-Rae Clifford (born 10 August 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne, Geelong, and Fremantle in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. Travis Cloke (born 5 March 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cloke was drafted under the father-son rule by Collingwood in the 3rd round (no.39 overall) of the 2004 AFL Draft. The Hangar, also known for commercial reasons as The NEC Hangar, is the training facility and headquarters of Australian rules football club the Essendon Bombers. It is located in the north-west Melbourne suburb of Melbourne Airport and was opened in 2013.
