2023 S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship
The 2023 S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship was the third and final season of the S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship. The championship was held under the new unified SpeedSeries banner, promoted and organized jointly by Motorsport Australia and the Australian Racing Group. Drivers not only competed to win the Australian Drivers' Championship (the MA Gold Star), the last round of the season also doubled as the third edition of the S5000 Tasman Series. At the first race of this last round, Garry Rogers Motorsport, GRM driver Aaron Cameron won the Drivers' Championship. After claiming three victories from three races through the weekend, he also became the Tasman Series Champion. Through the end of the 2023 season, discussions about the future of the series arose. Aaron Cameron
Aaron Cameron (born 27 January 2000) is an Australian racing driver, competing in the Supercars Championship in the No. 3 Ford Mustang S650 for Blanchard Racing Team. Early career Cameron's racing career began in karting in his home state of Victoria, with his breakthrough season coming aged 14 in 2014, as he won various state-level junior titles. In 2015, as well as moving up to the national level, he competed in selected races in Europe, including the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals and the KF-Junior category of the Karting World Championship.
