2023 Presidential Tour Of Turkey
The 2023 Presidential Tour of Turkey was a road bicycle racing, road cycling cycling stage race, stage race that was held between 8th and 15 October 2023 in Turkey. It was the 58th edition of the Presidential Tour of Turkey. The 2023 UCI Europe Tour was the nineteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to expand cycling around the world. Alanya
Alanya (; ), formerly Alaiye, is a beach resort city and a district of Antalya Province on the southern coast of Turkey, in the country's Mediterranean Region, east of the city of Antalya. Marmaris
Marmaris () is a port city and tourist resort on the Mediterranean coast, located in Muğla Province, southwest Turkey, along the shoreline of the Turkish Riviera. Although Marmaris is known for its honey, its main source of income is international tourism. It is located between two intersecting sets of mountains by the sea, though following a construction boom in the 1980s, little is left of the sleepy fishing village that Marmaris was until the late 20th century. In 2010, the city's resident population was 30,957, although it peaks at around 300,000 to 400,000 people during the tourist season. Babadağ (mountain, Muğla)
Babadağ (ancient Mount Anticragus, grc, Ἀντίκραγος) is a mountain near Fethiye, in Muğla Province, southwest Turkey. The mountain has a principal summit at an elevation of and a second one called ''"Karatepe"'' at an elevation of . These two summits face each other and are separated by a flood valley, which led to the term "mountain range" to be used in some sources in association with Babadağ. The mass is composed mainly of limestone. It is noted for its rich flora, including the endemic ''Acer undulatum'', and forests of Lebanon Cedar (''Cedrus libani''). It is also notable for the proximity of its summit to the sea (less than 5 km) which is one of the factors that make it particularly suitable and popular for paragliding. Fethiye
Fethiye () is a city and district of Muğla Province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. It is one of the prominent tourist destinations in the Turkish Riviera. In 2019 its population was 162,686. History Fethiye was formerly known as Makri (). Modern Fethiye is located on the site of the ancient city of Telmessos, the ruins of which can be seen in the city, e.g. the Hellenistic theatre by the main quay. Kalkan
Kalkan is a town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, and an important tourist destination. The area includes historical sites (such as Tlos and Kekova) and fine beaches (including Patara Beach and Kaputaş Beach). Kalkan is an old fishing town, and the only safe harbour between Kaş and Fethiye; it is known for its white-washed houses, descending to the sea, and its brightly coloured bougainvilleas. It averages 300 days of sunshine a year. Until the early 1920s, nearly all of its inhabitants were Greeks and the town was called Kalamaki. They left in 1923 during the exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey after the Greco-Turkish War and emigrated mainly to Attica, where they founded the new town of Kalamaki.
