2023 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the final event of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in the Ohio Valley Conference. The tournament was held March 1–4, 2023 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Seeds Only the top eight teams in the conference qualified for the tournament. Teams were seeded by record within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. If a team that is not eligible for the NCAA Tournament wins the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, the conference's automatic bid goes to the tournament runner-up. If that team is also not eligible, i.e. two ineligible teams met in the tournament final, the automatic bid goes to the highest seeded tournament-eligible team. Brad Korn
Brad Korn (born August 22, 1981) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks men's basketball team. Playing career Korn played four years at Southern Illinois, three under Bruce Weber and one under Matt Painter and was a member of three-straight Salukis' NCAA Tournament appearances, including the Sweet 16 in 2002. Coaching career Korn would transition from playing to the Salukis' coaching staff under Chris Lowery, where he was part of another three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2007. Following Lowery's firing from Southern Illinois, Korn joined Weber's staff at Kansas State for one season as the director of basketball operations before becoming an assistant coach at Missouri State from 2013 to 2016. 2022–23 Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles men's basketball team represented the University of Southern Indiana in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Screaming Eagles, led by third-year head coach Stan Gouard, played their home games at Screaming Eagles Arena in Evansville, Indiana as members of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). They finished the season 16–17, 9–9 in OVC play, to finish in a tie for sixth place. As the No. 7 seed in the OVC tournament, they lost to SIU Edwardsville in the first round. The Screaming Eagles received an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational as the No. 15 seed. There they lost to San Jose State in the first round. This is a list of regular season and tournament champions in men's basketball of the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. Men's basketball conference champions The Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament was held in Louisville from 1949–55 and from 1964 to 1967.
