2023 NC State Wolfpack Men's Soccer Team
The NC State Wolfpack men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The team is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. NC State's first men's soccer team was fielded in 1950. The team plays its home games at Dail Soccer Stadium in Raleigh. The Pack is coached by Marc Hubbard. The Wolfpack had much of their success in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, where over the span of 10 seasons, the Pack appeared in eight NCAA Tournaments. During this time, the Wolfpack won, to date, their only ACC Men's Soccer Tournament title, coming in 1990, as well as their only ACC Regular Season title, coming in 1994. Marc Hubbard
Marc Hubbard (June 13, 1981) is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in the USL Second Division and is currently the head coach of the NC State men's soccer team. Playing career Hubbard attended Colgate University, and was a four year letter winner as a defender. He was a captain of the team in 2002 when he was also named to the All-Atlantic Region Second Team. He was named to the All-Patriot League team for three straight years (2000-2002). After graduating from Colgate, Hubbard went on to play for five years in the then professional USL Second Division. He began his professional career with the Syracuse Salty Dogs, where he played in 2003. In 2004 he moved to the Wilmington Hammerheads. George Tarantini
George Tarantini was an Argentine retired men's soccer head coach at North Carolina State University. He served as head coach from 1986 to 2010 and posted a 221–190–41 record. Tarantini earned Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors in both 1992 and 1994. He also was the NCAA regional coach of the year in 1994. He has directed North Carolina State to eight NCAA Tournament bids. Tarantini has won more games with North Carolina State than any other coach in school history. Tarantini's 1990 North Carolina State team won the ACC championship, and reached the Final Four, before losing to UCLA on penalty kicks. Chuck Codd
Chuck Codd (born in Torrance, California) is a former U.S. soccer defender who played one season in the Western Soccer Alliance, six in the National Professional Soccer League, two in the USISL and two in the USL PDL. He is currently the assistant coach of the Baylor University women's soccer team. Youth Codd began playing with the Fram Culver Club in Torrance, California, in addition to playing soccer at South Torrance High School. Codd graduated from high school in 1985, entering North Carolina State that fall. He played four season on the NC State soccer team before graduating in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in history. Maryland Bobcats FC, formerly World Class Premier Elite (WCPE), are an American soccer team and academy based in Montgomery County, Maryland, which was founded in 2016. The organization's professional team competes within the National Independent Soccer Association in the third division of U.S. Soccer. The Bobcats also field teams in both the Maryland Super Soccer League and Eastern Premier Soccer League. Scott Schweitzer
Scott Schweitzer (born August 12, 1971) is an American soccer coach and former player. He spent two years as the head coach of Carolina RailHawks FC. College soccer Schweitzer was born in Rahway, New Jersey. He was a four-year letter winner at N.C. State University. He was a two-time All-American (second team in 1991 and first team in 1992) and named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in 1992. He was a member of the Wolfpack team that made it to the 1990 NCAA Final Four. Schweitzer was also a member of the U.S. World University Games Team from 1992 to 1994. Tom Tanner
George Martin Zinkhan, III (February 17, 1952 – May 9, 2009) was an American academic and poet. Zinkhan was a professor of marketing at the University of Georgia from 1994 until April 26, 2009. He was named as the prime suspect in a triple homicide before authorities announced on May 9, 2009 that they had found and identified Zinkhan's body. Chris Szanto (born September 17, 1967) is a retired American soccer defender who played professionally in the American Professional Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League, Continental Indoor Soccer League, NPSL and USISL. He was a member of the United States U-20 men's national soccer team which competed at the 1987 FIFA World Youth Championship. Hendrig "Henry" Gutierrez (born August 28, 1968, in Hoboken, New Jersey and raised in Miami) is an American former soccer player who began his career in the lower French divisions before finishing it in the United States. He was a member of the U.S. teams at the 1985 FIFA U-16 World Championship and the 1987 FIFA World Youth Championship. He earned one cap with the United States men's national soccer team. Dario Brose
Dario Brose (born January 27, 1970, in New York City) is a retired American soccer player who spent eight seasons in Europe, three in Major League Soccer and one in the USL First Division. He has also coached the Mid-Michigan Bucks of the Premier Development League. Youth Dario played his high school soccer for Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappinger, New York under the direction of coach Jeff Behnke. In 1986 he won the Capital Cup tournament's under-19 championship with New York side ''Blau Weiss Gottschee'' of Ridgewood, Queens. Tabaré "Tab" Ramos Ricciardi (born September 21, 1966) is an American former soccer player and coach. Over his thirteen-year professional career, Ramos played as a midfielder in Spain, Mexico, and the United States.
