2023 NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament
The 2023 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Tournament was the 52nd edition of the NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Championship, an annual tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA NCAA Division I, Division I and NCAA Division II, Division II men's collegiate indoor volleyball. The single-elimination tournament began with three opening rounds matches. The entire tournament was hosted by the George Mason University from April 30 to May 6, 2023, at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia. All opening round matches were streamed on ESPN+. The semifinals were live on NCAA.com. ESPN2 has the National Championship on May 6 with ESPN+ simulcasting it. 2023 UCLA Bruins Men's Volleyball Team
The 2023 UCLA men's volleyball team represented University of California, Los Angeles in the 2023 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Championship, NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Bruins, led by eleventh year head coach John Speraw, played their home games at Pauley Pavilion and the John Wooden Center (when basketball has the use of Pauley Pavilion). The Bruins were members of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, MPSF and were picked to finish first in the MPSF preseason poll. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's NCAA Division I, Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (nine in Southern California alone), and one is located in Hawaii (though the Hawaii member is leaving for the Mountain West Conference, effective July 1, 2026). The ''Daily Breeze'' is a 57,000-circulation daily newspaper published in Hermosa Beach, California, United States. It serves the South Bay cities of Los Angeles County. Mountain Pacific Sports Federation
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) is a college athletic conference with members located mostly in the Western United States, although it has added members as far east as Massachusetts. The conference participates at the NCAA Division I level, primarily in Olympic sports that are not sponsored by a school's primary conference (such as the Pac-12 and Big West, many of whose members participate in MPSF competition in at least one of its sports). History The MPSF was founded in 1992 to provide an outlet for competition in non-revenue-producing Olympic sports. The MPSF conducts championships in men's volleyball, as well as indoor track, gymnastics, and water polo for both men and women. The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) is a college athletic conference whose member schools compete in men's volleyball. The conference footprint is centered in the Midwestern United States, stretching from Missouri in the west to Ohio in the east, and also extends into North Carolina and will expand into Kentucky in the spring 2026 season. Many of the conference's schools also participate in the similarly named Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in men's volleyball at the club level. WTAJ-TV (channel 10) is a television station licensed to Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States, serving the Johnstown–Altoona– State College market as an affiliate of CBS. Owned by Nexstar Media Group, the station maintains studios on 6th Avenue in Altoona and a transmitter in Logan Township. History The station signed on March 1, 1953, as WFBG-TV, as a sister station to WFBG (1290 AM) and WFBG-FM (98.1, now WFGY).
