2023 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship
The 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship was the 41st annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of Division I NCAA women's college lacrosse. The semifinal and championship rounds were played at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC from May 26–28, 2023. All other rounds were played at campus sites, usually at the home field of the higher-seeded team, from May 12–18. The Northwestern Wildcats won their eighth championship, beating Boston College 18–6 in the final. Tournament field All NCAA Division I women's lacrosse programs were eligible for this championship, and a total of 29 teams were invited to participate. 15 teams qualified automatically by winning their conference tournaments, while the remaining 14 teams qualified at-large based on their regular season records. WakeMed Soccer Park
WakeMed Soccer Park is a Association football, soccer complex in Cary, North Carolina, United States. It consists of a purpose-built, Soccer-specific stadium, soccer-specific main stadium named "First Horizon Stadium", two lighted practice football pitches, and four additional fields. The main stadium and the two lighted fields (2 & 3) are all FIFA international regulation size (). The stadium seats 10,000, while Field 2 also has 1,000 permanent bleacher seats. The complex also sports a full-length Cross country running, cross-country course and houses the offices of North Carolina FC, Triangle Professional Soccer. Originally opened in 2002 as the home of the Carolina Courage of the Women's United Soccer Association, WUSA, WakeMed Soccer Park is now the home to North Carolina FC of the USL Championship and the North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League.
