2023 Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier
The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup qualification, qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the Americas region was the sub-regional qualifier, played in Argentina between 25 February and 4 March 2023. The top three teams in the sub-regional qualifier progressed to the Americas regional final, which was played in Bermuda between 30 September and 7 October 2023, where they were joined by Canada national cricket team, Canada, who competed in the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A in Oman. The winner of the Americas Regional Final qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualification
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a biennial world cup for cricket in Twenty20 International (T20I) format, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. It was the first major ICC tournament to include matches played in the United States. The West Indies had previously hosted the 2010 World Twenty20, 2010 competition. In June 2021, the ICC announced that the men's T20 World Cup would expand to 20 teams beginning in 2024 onwards from 16 teams until 2022. Alejandro "Alec" Ferguson (born July 19, 1978) is an Argentine cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has played for Argentina since 1994. Malachi Olin Jones (born 26 June 1989) is a Bermudian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He has played twelve One Day Internationals to date for Bermuda. Terryn Sunil Fray (born 30 June 1991) is a Bermudian cricketer who plays as a right-handed opening batsman. He represented Bermuda in the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and played one first-class match, three List A matches and eight Twenty20s for Bermuda from 2009 to 2013.
