Legislative Assembly elections were held in Madhya Pradesh on 2023 elections in India, 17 November 2023 to elect all List of constituencies of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, 230 members of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The results were declared on 3 December 2023. Background The tenure of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 6 January 2024. The 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, previous assembly elections were held in November 2018. After the election, Indian National Congress formed the Government of Madhya Pradesh, state government, with Kamal Nath becoming the List of chief ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister. Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly
The Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha or the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is the unicameral state legislature of Madhya Pradesh state in India. The seat of the Vidhan Sabha is at Bhopal, the capital of the state. It is housed in the ''Vidhan Bhavan'', an imposing building located at the center of the Capital Complex in the Arera Hill locality of Bhopal city. The term of the Vidhan Sabha is five years unless dissolved earlier. The Gondwana Gantantra Party or ''GGP'' is a political party in India, founded by Hira Singh Markam. It primarily works for the tribal community and its politics. History GGP was formed in 1991 to plead for the rights of the Gondi people, and to establish a separate Indian state of Gondwana in central India. After the demise of Hira Singh Markam, Tuleshwar Singh Markam took over as the new president of the party. The Bahujan Samaj Party ( BSP) is a political party in India that was formed to represent Bahujans (literally means "community in majority"), referring to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (OBC), along with Religious minorities in India, minorities. According to Kanshi Ram, when he founded the party in 1984, the Bahujans comprised 85 percent of India's population, but were divided into 6,000 different castes.
