2023 Amstel Gold Race (women's Race)
The 2023 Amstel Gold Race Ladies Edition was a Dutch road cycling one-day race held on 16 April 2023. It was the 9th edition of the Amstel Gold Race for women, and the 12th event of the 2023 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was won by Dutch rider Demi Vollering of SD Worx, who won the race for the first time. Route Starting at Maastricht's ''Markt'', the city's central market square, the race finished in Valkenburg after covering , with 21 climbs on the route. The route included eight climbs through Limburg, before four laps of a finishing circuit featuring the Geulhemmerberg, Bemelerberg and Cauberg climbs. The Cauberg, the most difficult and iconic passage (800m at 6.5%), was tackled five times. The course was around longer than the 2022 edition, owing to an additional lap of the finishing circuit. 2023 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2023 UCI Women's World Tour is a competition that includes twenty-seven road cycling events throughout the 2023 women's cycling season. It is the eighth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with the Women's Tour Down Under from 15 to 17 January, and will finish with the Tour of Guangxi on 17 October. Events The race calendar for the 2023 season was announced in June 2022, with thirty races initially scheduled, up from twenty-three that were held in 2022. The calendar features several new races including the Women's Tour Down Under, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and La Vuelta Femenina. Sabrina Stultiens (born 8 July 1993) is a Dutch road and cyclo-cross racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Stultiens won the women's under-23 road race at the 2014 European Road Championships. This qualified her to compete in the women's road race at the 2014 Road World Championships, in which she finished in 56th place out of 134 entrants. In cyclo-cross, Stultiens finished eighth in the 2013 World Championships. Pfeiffer Georgi
Pfeiffer Zara Georgi (born 27 September 2000) is an English professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She won the 2021 British National Road Race Championships. In 2017 she won the Gent–Wevelgem junior race and came second overall in the EPZ Omloop van Borsele. In 2018, she won the junior races Trofeo Da Moreno (junior race of Trofeo Alfredo Binda), Healthy Ageing Tour, and Watersley Ladies Challenge. In September 2021, she took her first professional win at La Choralis Fourmies Feminine in France, and the following month Georgi won the women's road race in the National Road Championships. She competed in the 2021 UCI Road World Championships, where she worked as a domestique in the road race with responsibility for leading Lizzie Deignan into the course's climbs, earning praise from the latter. Katarzyna Niewiadoma
Katarzyna "Kasia" Niewiadoma (born 29 September 1994) is a Polish racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Among her wins are the Amstel Gold Race, the Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the stage race The Women's Tour. She is a former national champion in both the road race and time trial events. In July 2022, she was named as one of the pre-race favourites for the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes, and eventually finished third overall. Early years Niewiadoma started racing bikes with local club WLKS Krakus BBC Czaja and soon emerged as one of the most promising women riders in Poland. In 2013, she won two national Under-23 champion titles, finishing 4th in both the elite time-trial and elite road race. The 2023 Strade Bianche Donne was an Italian road cycling one-day race that took place on 4 March 2023. It was the ninth edition of Strade Bianche Donne and the fifth event of the 2023 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was won by Dutch rider Demi Vollering, who outsprinted her SD Worx teammate Lotte Kopecky in Siena. Route The race starts and finishes in Siena, Italy. Liane Lippert (born 13 January 1998) is a German cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career Born in Friedrichshafen, Lippert started her career in local club ''RSV Seerose Friedrichshafen'' in 2008. In the following years she won the U15 mountain category at Germany's former greatest mountain time track ''Lightweight Uphill''. FDJ–Suez is a professional Women's road bicycle racing team which is based in France. The team competes in various UCI Women's road races. The team uses the same equipment as the men's team, along with coaches and shared training camps. The team is sponsored by French lottery Française des Jeux (FDJ) and French utility company Suez. Grace Brown (born 7 July 1992) is an Australian road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Brown competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She just missed out on a medal in the women’s time trial, finishing fourth. She also competed in the women's road race where she came 47th. Career 2015-2018 seasons Brown started cycling in 2015 after previously being involved in running. She started 2018 riding for Holden Team Gusto Racing. She then joined British UCI team for the latter part of 2018 season after being selected as the recipient of the Amy Gillett Cycling Scholarship. Mischa Bredewold
Mischa Bredewold (born 20 June 2000) is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Tour Team SD Worx. Starting racing in 2017 as a junior, the early part of her career was heavily disrupted when she was hit by a truck while training for the Dutch junior team prior to the 2018 UCI Road World Championships.
