2023 ASUN Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2023 ASUN men's basketball tournament was the conference postseason tournament for the ASUN Conference. The tournament was the 44th year the league has conducted a postseason tournament. The tournament was held February 27–March 5 at campus sites of the higher seeds. The winner, 2022–23 Kennesaw State Owls men's basketball team, Kennesaw State, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, 2023 NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Seeds Ten teams contested the bracket. The tournament had a new format in 2023, as all rounds were reseeded instead of a traditional set bracket. To that end, the 9 and 10 seeds played each other in round 1, and the 7 and 8 seed did as well, rather than the traditional 7/10 and 8/9 matchup. 2022–23 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team represented Florida Gulf Coast University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by first-year head coach Pat Chambers, played their home games at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). They finished the season 17–15, 7–11 in ASUN play, to finish in a tie for ninth place. As the No. 10 seed in the ASUN tournament, they lost to Queens in the first round. Alumni Coliseum
Alumni Coliseum and Baptist Health Arena are home to the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels in Richmond, Kentucky. History Alumni Coliseum houses the men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. The groundbreaking occurred on June 1, 1961. The arena was not finished until 1963 and the project took 626,276 board feet of lumber. While being built the Coliseum collapsed due to a cable malfunction. The collapse caused two workers to be injured and equipment being left under the rubble. The arena was originally named after Paul S. McBrayer. He was the head basketball coach from 1946 to 1962 and he had a record of 219–144. Trophy cases surrounding the concourse that hold trophies and memorabilia from former teams and players. Liberty Arena
Liberty Arena is a 4,000-seat arena in Lynchburg, Virginia on the campus of Liberty University. Construction began in the fall of 2018 and was completed in 2020, with a ceremonial opening held on November 23 of that year. The arena is home to the Liberty Flames and Lady Flames men's and women's basketball teams, the Lady Flames volleyball team, and other events for which attendance is not expected to exceed 4,000. The Convocation Center is a multipurpose arena on the campus of Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, United States. The arena has a listed seating capacity of 3,805 people and opened in 2005. 2022–23 Austin Peay Governors Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Austin Peay Governors men's basketball team represented Austin Peay State University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Governors, led by second-year head coach Nate James, played their home games at the Dunn Center in Clarksville, Tennessee as first-year members of the ASUN Conference. They finished the season 9–22, 3–15 in ASUN play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the ASUN tournament. On March 5, 2023, the school fired head coach Nate James.
