2023–24 Northern Kentucky Norse Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Northern Kentucky Norse women's basketball team represented Northern Kentucky University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Norse, led by eighth-year head coach Camryn Volz, played their home games at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky as members of the Horizon League. The Norse finished the season 11–20, 8–12 in Horizon League play, to finish in a tie for eighth place. They defeated Oakland before falling to top-seeded Cleveland State in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League tournament. Previous season The Norse finished the 2022–23 season 17–14, 10–10 in Horizon League play, to finish in fifth place. Doug Novak
Doug Novak is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach for the Trevecca Trojans women's basketball team. He was previously an assistant coach and then the interim head coach for the George Washington Revolutionaries women's basketball team. Novak has been head coach before, coaching the Iowa Western Reivers, Anderson Trojans, and Bethel Royals men's basketball teams, and acting as an interim head coach for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and George Washington Revolutionaries women's basketball teams. College Novak attended the University of Tennessee from 1987 to 1990, majoring in psychology. While at Tennessee, Novak played tennis and was a part of the Tennessee tennis team that was ranked number one at the collegiate level. George Rogers Clark High School (Kentucky)
The only public high school in Winchester, Kentucky, George Rogers Clark High School opened in the fall of 1963, consolidating Clark County High School and Winchester High School, locally referred to as county high and city high respectively. In 2011 construction began on a new building. In the fall of 2013, and a remarkable 50 years since the opening of the original facility, all student activity and faculty moved to the new facility, keeping the name "George Rogers Clark High School.” The new building has one athletic facility. Mount Sterling, often written as Mt. Sterling, is a home rule-class city in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 7,558 as of the 2020 census, up from 6,895 in 2010. It is the county seat of Montgomery County and the principal city of the Mount Sterling micropolitan area. History Mount Sterling is named for an ancient burial mound called "Little Mountain", and for the town of Stirling in Scotland. It was named by the first developer of the area, Hugh Forbes. The Western Kentucky Lady Toppers basketball team represents Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of Conference USA. Beaver Dam is a city in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States, along Beaver Dam Lake and the Beaver Dam River. The population was 16,708 at the 2020 census, making it the largest city primarily located in Dodge County.
