2023–24 Georgia State Panthers Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Georgia State Panthers men's basketball team represented Georgia State University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Panthers, led by second-year head coach Jonas Hayes, played their home games at the GSU Convocation Center in Atlanta, Georgia as members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 8–10 in Sun Belt play to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. As the No. 7 seed in the Sun Belt tournament, they lost to Marshall in the second round. Previous season The Panthers finished the 2022–23 season 10–21, 3–15 in Sun Belt play to finish in last place. Jonas Hayes
Jonas Hayes (born August 9, 1981) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is the current head coach of Georgia State. He previously served as an assistant coach, and later interim head coach, for the Xavier Musketeers. He was also an assistant coach for the Morehouse Maroon Tigers, South Carolina State Bulldogs, Belmont Abbey Crusaders, and Georgia Bulldogs. Hayes played college basketball for the Western Carolina Catamounts and Georgia Bulldogs. College career Hayes and his twin brother, Jarvis, initially enrolled at Western Carolina University in 1999 to play for the Western Carolina Catamounts. In his freshman season, Hayes averaged 8.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game on an average of 18.4 minutes. Winthrop Eagles Men's Basketball
The Winthrop Eagles men's basketball team represents Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States and competes in the Big South Conference. Queens Royals Men's Basketball
The Queens Royals men's basketball team represents the Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The Royals joined the NCAA Division I ASUN Conference on July 1, 2022 after nine seasons in the Division II South Atlantic Conference. Queens has never appeared in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The Charleston Cougars men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. VMI Keydets Basketball
The VMI Keydets basketball team represents the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia, in the sport of men's college basketball. They compete in the Southern Conference of the NCAA Division I. They have played their home games in Cameron Hall since 1981.
