2023–24 American Eagles Women's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 American Eagles women's basketball team represented American University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Eagles, who were led by second-year head coach Tiffany Coll, played their home games at Bender Arena located in Washington, D.C., as members of the Patriot League. Previous season The Eagles finished the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season, 2022–23 season 9–22, 7–11 in Patriot League play, to finish in a tie for seventh place. Bender Arena
Bender Arena is a 4,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Washington, D.C. The arena opened in 1988. It is home to the men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams at American University. The arena, named for Washington, D.C.–based philanthropists, Howard and Sondra Bender, is also the primary campus venue for concerts, commencement, and speakers, seating up to 6,000. The arena's main court is named for the late former American University athletic director and coach Stafford H. "Pop" Cassell, another AU alum. Bender Arena's current main scoreboard, installed prior to the 2001–02 season, includes a animation and video display and advertising signage for corporate sponsors. Washington Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 48,677, an increase of 118 (+0.2%) from the 2010 census count of 48,559, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,445 (+3.1%) from the 47,114 counted in the 2000 census. The Hartford Hawks women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States. The school's team currently competes as in the NCAA Division III Conference of New England. History The school began the women's basketball team in 1975 as a Division III school. The program moved to Division II and was a member of the Northeast-10 Conference (originally Northeast-7) between 1980 and 1984. Benet Academy
Benet Academy ( ) is a private, highly competitive, co-educational, college-preparatory, Benedictine high school in Lisle, Illinois, United States, overseen by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet in Illinois, Diocese of Joliet. Founded in 1886, the school was initially established in Chicago as the all-boys St. Procopius College and Academy by Benedictine monks, who also operated the St. Joseph Bohemian Orphanage. In 1898, the orphanage moved to Lisle, about west of Chicago, to be joined by St. Procopius three years later. The Fordham Rams women's basketball team represents Fordham University, located in the Bronx, New York, in NCAA Division I basketball competition. They currently compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference. History Fordham began play in 1970.
