FIFA World Cup Men's under-23 Friendlies Maurice Revello Tournament In preparation for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification, the Olyroos participated in the Maurice Revello Tournament, a youth tournament held in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in southern France. Due to the late withdrawal of the Togo team in early June, the tournament organisers called-up a selection of under-21 players from the Mediterranean region, who participated in the Olyroos group. 2022–23 A-League Men
The 2022–23 A-League Men, known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons, was the 46th season of national level men's soccer in Australia, and the 18th since the establishment of the competition as the A-League in 2004. The regular season commenced on 7 October 2022. The season featured a mid-season break from 18 November 2022 to 8 December 2022 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup being held in Qatar. Melbourne City were the defending premiers and Western United were the defending champions. Melbourne City successfully defended their title, winning their third premiership in a row with two games remaining. Central Coast Mariners won their second championship, defeating Melbourne City 6–1 in the Grand Final. This season was the first A-League Men season since 2013–14 to record an increase in average attendance compared to the previous season. Mitchell Thomas Duke (born 18 January 1991) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for club Machida Zelvia and the Australia national team. Duke was born in Liverpool, New South Wales and played youth soccer with Parramatta Eagles before starting his professional career with Central Coast Mariners. He joined J-League side Shimizu S-Pulse and Fagiano Okayama in 2015 and 2021 respectively. Willian Joel Pacho Tenorio (born 16 October 2001) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Ecuador national team. Pervis Josué Estupiñán Tenorio () (born 21 January 1998) is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for club Brighton & Hove Albion and the Ecuador national team. Brandon Joel Gaetano Borrello (born 25 July 1995) is an Australian professional association football player who plays as a right winger for A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers. Western Sydney Stadium
Western Sydney Stadium, currently known as CommBank Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Parramatta, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It replaced the demolished Parramatta Stadium (1986) which in turn was built on the site of the old Cumberland Oval, home ground to the Parramatta Eels since 1947. The current stadium opened in April 2019 and has a 30,000-seat capacity. The stadium is owned by the NSW Government and built at a cost of $300 million. The stadium hosts games across the major rectangular field sports in Sydney.
