2022–23 Women's National Cricket League Season
The 2022–23 Women's National Cricket League season was the 27th season of the Women's National Cricket League, the women's domestic limited overs cricket competition in Australia. The tournament ran from 23 September 2022 to 25 February 2023. On 29 June 2022, Cricket Australia announced the fixtures for the tournament; a total of 43 matches will be played, with each of the seven teams playing each other team twice. Tasmania women's cricket team, Tasmania was the defending champion. Tasmania also eventually won the tournament, and was awarded its second WNCL title, beating South Australian Scorpions, South Australia in the rain-affected final, which has been "... dubbed the most incredible domestic cricket match ever played on Australian soil." Karen Rolton Oval is a cricket ground in Adelaide, South Australia, named after the Australian former cricketer Karen Rolton. It is located near the corner of West Terrace and Port Road, opposite the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, in the eastern end of Park 25 of the Adelaide Park Lands. North Sydney Oval
North Sydney Oval (Also known as “Bear Park” by North Sydney Bears fans) is a multi-use sporting facility in Miller Street, North Sydney, Australia, owned and operated by North Sydney Council. First used as a cricket ground in 1867, it is also used for Australian rules football, rugby league, rugby union and soccer. History Development The first cricket pitch was laid on 6 December 1867, making it one of the oldest cricket grounds in Australia. Grace Margaret Harris (born 18 September 1993) is an Australian cricketer who made her international debut for the Australia women's cricket team in August 2015. An all-rounder, she is a right-handed batter and right-arm off break bowler. Tahlia Beverly Wilson (born 21 October 1999) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the New South Wales Breakers in the Women's National Cricket League and the Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League. Ebony Hoskin
Ebony Hoskin (born 23 March 2003) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for New South Wales in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and Perth Scorchers in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), after playing for the Sydney Thunder in the 2023/24 season. She plays as a right-arm medium bowler. Domestic career Hoskin began training with New South Wales during the 2021–22 season, and played at that season's Under-19 National Championships. Ahead of the first match of the 2022–23 WNCL, an injury to Hannah Darlington allowed Hoskin to make her debut for New South Wales, against Queensland. Georgia Voll (born 5 August 2003) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm off break bowler for the Queensland Fire in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) and the Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Voll made her debut for the Queensland Fire in February 2020. She made her WBBL debut for the Brisbane Heat in the 2020–21 tournament.
