2022–23 Wessex Football League
The 2022–23 Wessex Football League season was the 37th in the history of the Wessex Football League since its establishment in 1986. The league consists of two divisions: the Premier Division and Division One. The constitution was announced on 12 May 2022. Premier Division The Premier Division was reduced from 21 clubs to 20, after Bashley and Hamworthy United were promoted to the Southern League South Division; Alton were transferred to the Combined Counties League, and Amesbury Town were relegated to Division One. Wessex Football League
The Wessex Football League, known as the Velocity Wessex Football League for sponsorship reasons, is an English regional men's Association football, football league in southern England. Its members are primarily from Hampshire and Dorset, but clubs from adjoining counties such as Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey, and the Isle of Wight are also eligible. The Premier Division is one of the sixteen recognised leagues to form the ninth level of the English football league system (known as Step 5 of the National League System), and Division One is one of seventeen recognised leagues at level 10 (Step 6). Champions of the Wessex League who meet the relevant ground and financial requirements are eligible for promotion to the Southern Football League, Southern League Division One South or Isthmian League Division One South Central. Fareham ( ) is a market town at the north-west tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in south east Hampshire, England. It gives its name to the Borough of Fareham. It was historically an important manufacturer of bricks, used to build the Royal Albert Hall, and grower of strawberries and other seasonal fruits. 2023–24 Southern Combination Football League
The 2023–24 Southern Combination Football League season was the 99th in the history of the competition, which lies at levels 9, 10 and 11 (steps 5 and 6, and county feeder) of the English football league system. The constitution was announced on 15 May 2023. Starting this season, the Premier Division (Step 5) in the league promotes two clubs; one as champions and one via a four-team play-off. This replaced the previous inter-step play-off system. For this season only, there was only one club relegated from the division. 2023–24 Southern Football League
The 2023–24 Southern Football League season was the 121st in the history of the Southern League since its establishment in 1894. The league has two Premier divisions (Central and South) at Step 3 of the National League System (NLS) and two Division One divisions (Central and South) at Step 4. These correspond to levels 7 and 8 of the English football league system. The allocations for Steps 3 and 4 this season were announced by The Football Association (FA) on 15 May 2023. There were to be 84 teams in the Southern League, 22 in each of the Step 3 divisions and 20 in each of the Step 4 divisions. However, Marlow successfully appealed against their transfer from the Isthmian League leaving an unfilled vacancy in Division One Central, which therefore comprised 19 teams instead of 20. 2023–24 Isthmian League
The 2023–24 season was the 109th season of the Isthmian League, which is an English football competition featuring semi-professional and amateur clubs from London, East and South East England. The league operates four divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3 (the 7th tier) and three divisions, North, South Central and South East at Step 4 of the National League System (the 8th tier). This was the sixth season since the former South Division was subdivided into the South Central and South East divisions. The league is also known as the Pitching In League under a sponsorship deal with Entain, formerly GVC Holdings. Bournemouth ( ) is a coastal resort town in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole unitary authority area, in the ceremonial county of Dorset, England. Shaftesbury () is a town and civil parish in Dorset, England. It is on the A30 road, west of Salisbury and north-northeast of Dorchester, near the border with Wiltshire. It is the only significant hilltop settlement in Dorset, being built about above sea level on a greensand hill on the edge of Cranborne Chase. The town looks over the Blackmore Vale, part of the River Stour basin.
