2022–23 Washington State Cougars Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Washington State Cougars women's basketball team represented Washington State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cougars were led by fifth-year head coach Kamie Ethridge and they played their home games at Beasley Coliseum as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Previous season In 2021–22, the Cougars finished with an overall record of 19–11, and finished conference play with a 11–6 record. As the #3 seed in the tournament, the Cougars lost to the #6 seed Utah in the quarterfinals. The Cougars received an at-large bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament and the #8 seed in the Bridgeport Regional. Kamie Ethridge
Mary Camille "Kamie" Ethridge (born April 21, 1964) is an American former basketball player and current basketball coach. She was an All-American point guard at the University of Texas at Austin and won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She is considered one of the best women's basketball players in history and was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. Ethridge is currently the head coach at Washington State University. High school Born in Hereford, Texas, Ethridge played guard for Monterey High School (Lubbock, Texas), Monterey High School, in Lubbock, Texas. She led her team to a state championship (5A) in 1981. College Ethridge attended the University of Texas, where she played for Hall of Fame coach Jody Conradt. Kailua-Kona, HI
Kailua-Kona is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States. It is most commonly referred to simply as Kona (a name it shares with the district to which it belongs), but also as Kona Town, and occasionally as Kailua (a name it shares with a community on the windward side of Oahu), thus its less frequent use. Kailua-Kona is the second-largest settlement on the island of Hawaii (after Hilo) and the largest on the island's west side, where it is the center of commerce and the tourist industry. Kailua-Kona is served by Kona International Airport, just to the north in the adjacent CDP of Kalaoa. The population was 19,713 at the 2020 census, up from 11,975 at the 2010 census.
