2022–23 Texas State Bobcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Texas State Bobcats men's basketball team represented Texas State University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by third-year head coach Terrence Johnson, played their home games at Strahan Arena in San Marcos, Texas as members of the Sun Belt Conference. Previous season The Bobcats finished the 2020–21 season 21–8, 12–3 in Sun Belt play to win the regular season championship. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt tournament to Louisiana. As a regular season champion who did not win their conference tournament, they received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to North Texas. Terrence Johnson (basketball)
Terrence Johnson (born August 10, 1978) is an American college basketball coach (basketball), coach who is the current head coach of the Texas State Bobcats men's basketball team. Coaching career The son of a basketball coach, Johnson began coaching at the high school level, including at St. Bernard Parish Public Schools, St. Bernard High School in Louisiana and Alief Elsik High School in the Houston area, while also working as a personal trainer and AAU coach for many future college basketball players. In 2010, he'd be hired by Jimmy Tillette as an assistant coach at Samford Bulldogs men's basketball, Samford where he'd stay until 2012 before returning to the Houston area and the AAU ranks. Johnson would make his return to college coach when he joined Danny Kaspar's staff at Texas State in 2015 as an assistant coach. Pflugerville ( ) is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States, with a small portion in Williamson County. The population was 65,191 at the 2020 census. Atascocita High School
Atascocita High School is a secondary school located in Atascocita CDP, a community housed in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. AHS is a part of Humble Independent School District and serves the eastern part of the district and small portions of the city of Houston. AHS opened in August 2006, becoming the district's third traditional high school, and the first opened since 1979. The Loyola Wolf Pack are the athletic teams representing Loyola University New Orleans in intercollegiate athletics. Florida Gators Men's Basketball
The Florida Gators men's basketball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of basketball. The Gators compete in NCAA Division I's Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games are played on Billy Donovan Court in the O'Connell Center, Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida, Gainesville campus.
