2022–23 TCU Horned Frogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball team represented Texas Christian University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by seventh-year head coach Jamie Dixon, and played their home games at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 22–13, 9–9 in Big 12 Play to finish in a tie for 5th place. They defeated Kansas State in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament before losing to Texas in the semifinals. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Arizona State in the First Round before losing in the Second Round to Gonzaga. Jamie Dixon
James Patrick Dixon II (born November 10, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs men's team, where he played college ball. He previously served as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team from 2003 through 2016. In 2009, he was the head coach for the FIBA Under-19 2009 gold-medal winning United States national basketball team for which he was named the 2009 USA Basketball National Coach of the Year. Dixon was named Big East Coach of the Year in 2004, Naismith College Coach of the Year in 2009, Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year in 2010, and the ''Sporting News'' National Coach of the Year award in 2011. The 2021–22 Big 12 men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Francisco Farabello (born 1 November 2000) is an Argentine basketball player for Pinheiros Basquete of the Novo Basquete Brasil. He played college basketball for the TCU Horned Frogs and the Creighton Bluejays.
