2022–23 Stony Brook Seawolves Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team represented Stony Brook University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seawolves, led by fourth-year head coach Geno Ford, played their home games at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena, Island Federal Arena in Stony Brook, New York as first-year members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). They finished the season 10–21, 6–12 in 2022–23 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball season, CAA play, to finish in a three-way tie for 9th place. In the 2023 CAA men's basketball tournament, CAA tournament, they defeated 2022–23 North Carolina A&T Aggies men's basketball team, North Carolina A&T in the second round before falling to 2022–23 Charleston Cougars men's basketball team, College of Charleston in the quarterfinals. Geno Ford
Gene A. "Geno" Ford (born October 11, 1974) is an American college basketball coach and former college and professional basketball player. He is currently the men's head coach for the Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball, Stony Brook Seawolves, a position he has held since 2019. He was previously the head coach at Shawnee State University, Muskingum University (then Muskingum College), Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball, Kent State University (2008–2011) and Bradley Braves men's basketball, Bradley University (2011–2015). Ford was an assistant coach at Ohio Bobcats men's basketball, Ohio University, Kent State and Stony Brook. He was promoted to head coach at Stony Brook after serving on Jeff Boals' staff for three seasons. Before turning to coaching, Ford was a prolific scorer in high school and in college at Ohio University. Frankie Policelli
Frankie Andrew Policelli (born April 11, 2000) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Valmiera Glass VIA of the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. He spent the majority of his college basketball career with the Stony Brook Seawolves, also playing a year for the Dayton Flyers and Charleston Cougars. Early life Policelli grew up in New Hartford, New York with his parents Angie and Frank. His father Frank is an attorney in Utica. Policelli began his high school career at New Hartford Senior High School, playing for head coach John Randall. He averaged 13.5 points per game as a freshman and 20.3 as a sophomore. However, after averaging 28.1 points, his junior season was cut short in January after requiring season-ending knee surgery. He was ranked among the nation's top 100 juniors by HoopSeen. Medford is a township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Joliet West High School
Joliet West High School, along with Joliet Central, comprises district 204 Joliet Township High School district in Joliet, Illinois. West's mascot is the Tiger. Construction and expansion Construction of the school began in 1963, with the first classes held in September 1964. It has undergone six additions since.
