Chris Gavina
Christian Gavina (born January 27, 1979) is a Filipino professional basketball coach. Early life and college career Gavina was born in the Philippines and migrated to Jersey City, New Jersey when he was three years old. He played college basketball for the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He finished second in all-time scoring for the school and have his jersey number retired after his graduation in 2001. After graduation, he worked as a formulation chemist for L'Oreal from 2004 to 2008 and then moved back to the Philippines to pursue a career in basketball. He first played for the Quezon Red Oilers and the Mandaue-Cebu Landmasters of the defunct Liga Pilipinas. Coaching career After his contract expired with Mandaue, he returned to the United States and earned a strength and conditioning coach certification at the Institute of Sports and Science. Norberto Brian Torres (born January 12, 1990) is a Canadian-born Filipino professional basketball player for the Meralco Bolts of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Jireh Ralph A. Ibañes (born April 20, 1982) is a Filipino former professional basketball player of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played his entire career for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and is now serving as an assistant team manager. He was drafted eleventh overall by then-known Welcoat in 2006. Richard "Ricky" Umayam is a Filipino coach serves as an assistant coach and team scout for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the PBA. Career Umayam is notable for being an assistant coach of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters since 2013 under Yeng Guiao. In the same year, he also joined Letran Knights in the same year when Caloy Garcia, one of his colleagues in Rain or Shine was hired by the colleagiate team.
