2022–23 Northern Iowa Panthers Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Northern Iowa Panthers women's basketball team represented the University of Northern Iowa during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Panthers were led by head coach Tanya Warren in her sixteenth season, and played their home games at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The Panthers finished the season 23–10, 16–4 in MVC play, to finish in third place. In the MVC tournament, they defeated UIC in the quarterfinals before falling to Belmont in the semifinals. They received an at-large bid into the WNIT, where they defeated Colorado State in the first round, before falling to Nebraska in the second round. Tanya Warren
Tanya Warren (born 1965) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at the University of Northern Iowa. Early life and education Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Warren graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School (Des Moines, Iowa), Abraham Lincoln High School in 1983, then played basketball at Creighton Bluejays women's basketball, Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska from 1984 to 1988 at guard (basketball), guard, after redshirting her freshman year. At Creighton, among Warren's teammates was Connie Yori, who would later coach at Nebraska Cornhuskers women's basketball, Nebraska. Warren averaged 13.9 points and 3.2 rebounds as a redshirt freshman in 1984–85. Warren averaged 14.6 points and 3.0 rebounds as a sophomore, 18.7 points and 3.8 rebounds as a junior, and 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.8 rebounds as a senior in a season where she only played 10 games. The 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began on November 9, 2021. The regular season ended on March 6, 2022, with the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament beginning on March 18, and ending with the championship game at the Target Center in Minneapolis on April 3. The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college women's basketball team competing in the Horizon League for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. The head coach is Kayla Karius. Keosauqua ( ) is a city and the county seat of Van Buren County, Iowa, United States. The population was 936 at the time of the 2020 census. History Keosauqua was laid out in 1839. Eldridge is a city in Scott County, Iowa, United States. The population was 6,726 in the 2020 Census; Eldridge is a rural community and part of the Quad Cities metropolitan area. History Jacob M. Eldridge, the city's namesake, arrived in central Scott County in 1846, having purchased land for $1.25 per acre.
